This summer Ollie, my dad and I are going to our lake house at McGregor Bay. Up there there's no internet, but in town you can get some internet so I'm not going to post as often.
If you pull up to the dock in a motor-boat, the house is to you right. You get out of the boat, take the rope from each end of the boat, and tie it to the dock. There's a speacial knot that we call "the McGregor Bay knot". (see picture)
Then you walk up the dock. When it's high tide you walk straight forwards, step up a step and go to the right (the house) or to the left (the hammok and outhouse), however when it's low tide, you walk up a ramp step up a step and go to the right or to the left . If you proceed to the right, you have 2 choices: 1. take a slight left go up a couple of stairs, pass two chairs and a small table, walk through a screen door, and arive in what seems to be a kids bedroom, or 2. keep going straight, walk up a few steps, and walk through a door into the screen porch in which you will find a pingpong table, a couch and a couple of chairs around a table, and another 2 doors, one leading to the kitchen and one leading back outside. If you go into the kitchen, you see on your right, the counter with a sink and a pump (instead of a faucet). On your left, however, you first see two chairs, a couch and a coffee table, then a door (leading to the kids' bedroom), and after that, a cookstove. A little to the right of the cookstove, you see a a gas stove, then a door leading to the pantry/hallway. If you go to the right, you walk down the hallway leading to a deadend. However, to the right is a screendoor leading outside, and to the left, there is a two-person bedroom, with an elecritcal toilet attached. The screen door leads to a hammock and the boat house (which includes a sauna and two beds).
To the left of the dock you find another hammock, the out house, and a couple of climbing rocks.
Other atractions are mount baldy (a good hiking spot), dead horse bay (a good swiming spot), and blueberry island (guess!).
